Sun Protection Factor ratings are indications of how often you need to apply a sun protection product, Dermablock is rated 15+. Usually this is determined by multiplying the rating by the amount of time it usually takes you to burn e.g. SPF15 x 10 minutes = 2.5 hours. The Dermablock difference is that it is a physical block (Titanium Dioxide) providing UVA and UVB protection, rather than a chemical block. Many sun protection products offer a chemical block of UV rays. This means the rays are absorbed by a mixture of chemicals, whereas physical blocks reflect the rays before they reach your skin. Dermablock is suitable for sensitive skin as it doesn't contain irritants such as PABAs and chemical blocks that are found in some sun protection products and can cause an allergic reaction. Dermablock also contains Apricot Kernel Oil which is readily absorbed into the skin without leaving an oily residue behind. It is a good choice of skin care oil for people with dry skin and gentle enough for all skin types. It contains essential fatty acids and high in Vitamins A and E. These soothe irritated skin while moisturising. Regular application helps keep skin smooth and flexible.
